DOGS TAKE TO THE STREETS IN THE WORLD’S FIRST UN ANIMAL PROTEST - Protesting animals unite in support of The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International’s campaign to ban animal testing in cosmetics globally – - Campaign challenges United Nations to end practice which harms up to 500,000 animals in cruel tests every year – - The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International call on all cruelty-free companies to support the campaign -

The world’s first animal protest outside the headquarters of the United Nations took place in New York today.

The protest, which included 8 dogs of different breeds and sizes, was in support of Forever Against Animal Testing, a joint campaign by international beauty company The Body Shop and leading organisation working to end animal experiments, Cruelty Free International. The dogs took to the streets with protest signs, bandanas and miniature banners in show of their support.

The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International were joined by influential pet photographer @TheDogist, who has previously supported the campaign in Canada and the US, and influential Instagram pet influencer @louboutinanyc.

The protest aimed to highlight the shocking fact that 80% of countries worldwide still have no laws banning cosmetic animal tests and encourage consumers to support the campaign by signing the global petition at http://www.foreveragainstanimaltesting.com.

Once the petition reaches 8 million signatures, The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International will present it to the United Nations, calling for an international convention to ban animal testing on cosmetics to protect millions of animals around the world. Last week, the organisations met with UN officials to progress discussions on the topic.

Having gathered 4.1 million signatures in the last six months, the petition is now the biggest ever against animal testing in cosmetics. The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International are inviting all companies that are against cosmetic animal testing to pledge support for the campaign, and is supplying assets to help other companies and their employees get involved.

In September 2017, The Body Shop was acquired from L’Oreal by Natura, the Brazilian-listed multi-national cosmetics company, which is cruelty-free and a publicly-listed B Corp.   Both Natura and The Body Shop’s new sister company, Aesop, have today officially backed the campaign.

Jessie Macneil-Brown, Head of Global Campaigns, The Body Shop, says: “At The Body Shop we believe passionately in animal welfare and that animals shouldn’t be used for cosmetic testing. We staged our animal protest with dogs, as they have been a powerful symbol for us throughout our Forever Against Animal Testing campaign, representing the relationship we have with animals and connecting with our cruelty-free supporters. This unique protest is symbolic of our huge ambition for ending cosmetic animal testing globally. We are now calling on every person, every company and every government to join our campaign, and help us finish what we started”.

Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International says: “Today’s protest sends a strong message to consumers and brands around the world that we need their support. We have made huge progress towards our goal of banning animal testing for cosmetics, but there is still work to be done. We want to see every company that is against animal testing pledge their support and encourage their customers to do the same”.

Elias Friedman, photographer at @TheDogist, said “I supported The Body Shop’s Forever Against Animal Testing campaign when it launched, and it’s great to be here at home in New York at the first ever pet protest at the United Nations. The protesting dogs represent all animals and remind us why animal testing in cosmetics should be banned once and for all.”

L'Oreal Hair Spa Review

L'Oreal Hair Spa Review

Posting a review after ages, happy reading!

Hair is the most beautiful element of your existence but sometimes you might often neglect the fact that you don't take care of it as much as you take care of skin. Sometimes, your lifestyle changes drastically that results into stress reacting on the natural health that affects the hair making it appear very dull. You may run out of time, maybe not have proper knowledge of good hair care products. There are different methods to bring back the natural hair, therefore by using the hair spa, hair texture can be gained back if used in a proper way. Most of the times, due to the pollution and dirt, hair turns completely rusted and dull.

Hair spas have become really common and has become the most vital step that is being used in the professional salons these days. Ever since the online shopping trend, with the wide market product availability online, it has become quite easy to nab and try the new gen products and techniques.

What is it for? And what does it do?

The product is whole and soul based for hair treatment purposes. It genuinely benefits the hair. If you suffer from any kind of hair issues pertaining to thinning of hair, spoilt hair texture, split ends, etc. By externally consuming this hair product, it boosts ultimate smoothness and shininess.
L'Oréal professional hair spa (for normal and dry hair) is enriched with purified water minerals, polymer and vegetable oil that is used on the hair for smoothing and bringing back the old texture. It turns the hair healthy since it's thick cream formula.

Comb and leave for 10 minutes by using a steamer or a warm towel. Rinse, in case of contact with the eyes, rinse them immediately.

MY EXPERIENCE

In Spite of trying endless products to nurture my hair back to life, it was quite a complicated "fixing hair affair" that at one point, it brought vague thoughts on my mind regarding fixing my hair. As it is commonly known that coconut oil prevents hair issues and so is a solution to all types of hair rescue. I luckily landed in a pharmacy where I was supposed to find a hair treatment product, I was stunned when I came across L'Oréal Professional Hair Spa Vitalizing Cream bath for normal and dull hair. This product genuinely molded my ruined hair condition back to it's normal self. I am really happy to share the reviews of this product that I'd really like. My hair became very thick and got back the bounce it used to have previous years. It's texture is rich and creamy and the scalp absorbs the cream quickly. It gives a very relaxing effect and enriches the root of the hair. It smoothened my frizzy ends, the dryness in each strand of the hair is finished. It has really helped my hair to grow bringing back to it's natural shine.

Overall performance -

It was quite unexpected as the product is really amazing and is worth the price. My hair has become really worth flaunting, I have less hair fall as well now. The texture of my hair has turned very smooth and shiny and my friends tend to appreciate the quality of my hair now.

Positives of the product -

It has a cream formula and it's quite non - sticky.
It's better to apply than oil.
Has an amazing aura of it's own.
Suitable for dull and normal hair.

Negatives of the product -

It's cream formula might not be liked by everyone
Not suitable for oily hair texture of the hair.
It's a bit pricey compared to it's size
     The quantity is fairly less

Final conclusion -

I'd really recommend this product to everyone as it is genuinely worth the buy and is really beneficial. Ever since, most of the products I have tried to fix my hair had miserably failed but L'Oréal Professional hair and spa really brought positive changes that really speak volumes.
